Automotive Electronics Award

At last night’s prestigious Elektra Awards held by Electronics Weekly, Paragraf won the Automotive Electronics Award for the GHS-A graphene Hall sensor.

The GHS-A has been designed and optimised for use in the research and development of batteries, specifically for electric vehicles. It will give manufacturers greater insights into how hot spots develop in battery cell arrays, and how to identify the precursors to this. Knowledge gathered this way will help manufacturers optimise their battery technology and develop battery management systems that are better equipped to monitor battery behaviour in production vehicles.

This is the second time the company has picked up an Elektra Award. In 2020, Paragraf won the award for Excellence in Product Design (High-reliability systems).

The award ceremony was held in London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane. John Tingay, Paragraf’s CTO, picked up the award on behalf of the company: “All at Paragraf are delighted to win an Elektra Award for the second year running. This not only recognises all the hard work by the team at Paragraf, but also the enormous potential of graphene Hall sensors in the automotive and many more industries”.
