Roland brings a deep-rooted passion for innovation in technology, with over two decades of experience spanning motorsport, advanced electronics, and clean tech. He began his career in professional motorsport, working with teams in Formula 1 and World Series by Nissan to develop cutting-edge telemetry, sensor systems and data platforms. From supporting Red Bull Air Races to leading powertrain electronics at Cosworth and hybrid vehicle systems at Ricardo, he has consistently pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in vehicle and systems engineering.

Before joining Paragraf as Chief Product Officer, Roland held senior leadership roles in both the public and private sectors, including heading Transport at Innovate UK, where he oversaw a $1bn R&D portfolio. He later helped scale autonomous vehicle technology at Five AI, enabling machine learning teams through vehicle platform abstraction. His combination of technical depth, commercial insight, and strategic vision drives Paragraf’s mission to transform electronics with graphene-based technologies.
