I found out about the opening for a Business Apprentice here at Paragraf from a job listing on gov.uk late last summer while I was working in retail and actively looking for a career change. I researched the company and found out that I was very local to both office sites. It seemed like a perfect opportunity to keep working while progressing with my Business Administration course at Cambridge Regional College.
I want to gain as much experience and knowledge as possible, and I have been able to learn about each aspect of operating the business and the different areas within the organisation. I have had the opportunity to shadow several of my colleagues, which has included time in the labs as well as the offices. This has allowed me to understand what we do and to develop a deeper insight into the company.

Every day is different at Paragraf. In my role, I learn a range of new skills and business admin tasks, including managing courier bookings, tracking and placing online orders, and handling telephone calls professionally.
Despite having no prior experience, I have felt very welcome, motivated and supported by my colleagues at Paragraf in the five months I have worked here. My confidence and personal development have grown, allowing me to explore the routes and opportunities I could pursue in my career. I’m still a little unsure of what I want to become and fully progress in, but I’m keeping an open mind and hoping my apprenticeship can give me a clearer picture.
